Client Terms — Requesting a Service
This page covers terms specific to using our online request forms (care & companionship, or a cleaning quote). It sits alongside, and doesn't replace, our general Terms and Conditions.
An enquiry isn't a contract
Submitting a request form asks us to get in touch — it doesn't commit you to anything, and no contract exists between us until you've agreed a quote and we've confirmed a booking.
Your right to cancel (14-day cooling-off period)
Once a contract for services is agreed by phone, email, or online (a "distance contract"), you have a legal right to cancel within 14 days without giving a reason, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
If you ask us to start work within that 14-day period, you're giving up some or all of your right to cancel once the service has been fully carried out — we'll always confirm this with you clearly before starting, and you're free to say no and wait out the 14 days instead.
To cancel, just tell us by phone or email — you don't need to use a particular form of words. Contact us at yourcare@goodfellowsupportservices.co.uk.
